Fibocom launches module for Cat 9 connectivity

Fibocom Wireless has launched its LTE Cat 9 M.2 module, which is designed with Intel's XMM 7360 LTE modem. It is designed to offer Cat 9 connectivity for a variety of devices, according to a press release.

The module is built with a variety of features including:

• 21 FDD LTE bands and four TDD LTE bands;
• Includes more than 35 regulatory certifications and 10 carrier+ certifications;
• Has a download speed up to 450-MBs per second and an uplink speed of up to 50-MBs per second; and
• Is designed to deliver a high speed LTE experience globally.

"L850 is our true One-World-One-Sku answer to today's global LTE landscape, providing Cat 9 connectivity for personal computers, gateways, routers and entertainment systems," Lei Yao, vice president of product management at Fibocom, said in the release.
