Events DC fights COVID-19 with touchless cleaning, scanning, digital signage

Events DC, the official convention and sports authority for Washington DC, is deploying health and safety tools to combat COVID-19 including Kogniz and Certify thermal scanner systems, FujiTec Ionful air purification system, NanoSteptic self-cleaning for high touch point surfaces and digital signage, according to a press release.

The Kogniz Health Response Platform uses AI to track fevers from a distance, identity gathering of people and flag individuals who are non-compliant with rules. Certify meanwhile is a touchless thermal scanning and compliance platform that provides pre-site visitation questionnaires.

NanoSteptic uses light and mineral nano crystals to provide an oxidized reaction to clean surfaces on high-touch points.

These platforms will work together with digital signage displays to provide both health messaging and crowd control.

Washington Convention Center, said in the release. "This new equipment will enhance the health and safety protocols already in place in our venues, with the hope of welcoming our guests back with a mutual sense of confidence and trust."
