Embed signage has launched RoomStream, a solution that enables AV integrators, IT teams and digital experience specialists to turn Microsoft Teams rooms and Zoom rooms displays into managed digital signage endpoints.

It's a cloud-native digital signage solution which requires no additional hardware or app installs and can be deployed remotely in minutes, according to a press release.

It also provides a recurring revenue stream. Meeting rooms running supported Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms setups already have everything needed to become digital signage endpoints — the hardware is already on the wall, the network is in place and the customer relationship is already established.

RoomStream streams content directly to existing room system hardware. Partners already managing Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms estates can add digital signage as a value-added service without re-engineering the solution or introducing new hardware dependencies.

"Organizations operate meeting rooms with screens that sit idle for most of the day. RoomStream gives our integration partners a way to monetize that idle time with a genuinely simple deployment model — no extra boxes, no app installs, no site visits, while simultaneously giving end users another way to deliver company-wide messaging to maximize employee engagement opportunities," Drew Harding, head of product at embed signage, said in the release.
