E Ink, the creator of ePaper display technology, has announced its Spectra 6 product, which aims to provide enhanced color over previous iterations in the line while adding motion capacity with the E Ink Sparkle partial flashing effect, according to a press release.
Planned for release in 2024, with demos occurring at select locations this year, the Spectra 6 display modules include features like optimization for 200 PPI depending on panel size, typical contrast ratio of 30:1, and operating temperatures rated between 0°-50° Celsius (32°-122° Fahrenheit).
"We are very excited to announce this revolutionary new color platform, E Ink Spectra 6," Johnson Lee, CEO at E Ink, said in the release. "Spectra 6 represents years of continuing research and development to improve our technology and will bring the power of full, vivid color to advertising installations while maintaining E Ink's signature low-power features that allow our customers to meet their sustainability goals."
