DST hosting webinar on 'green' digital signage displays

Digital Signage Today and NEC Display Solutions are bringing in the EPA for a talk about "green" digital signage displays.

Two experts on environmentally-friendly displays from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star Program will take part in the free webinar, "Digital Signage & the Environment — Why you should care about being eco-friendly," presented by NEC Display Solutions and Digital Signage Today at 2 p.m. Eastern May 29.

The webinar discuss how a strategic approach to energy management offers both environmental and economic benefits. With Energy Star celebrating 20 years of improvements in energy efficiency, there have been continued strides in the efficiency of displays, and presenters will discuss eco-friendly large-screen display technology. They'll also provide information on recent developments in the Energy Star program related to the Displays product specification and how these impact the display industry as well as Energy Star's outreach efforts to the industry.

In addition to Rachel Karnani, product manager for large-ccreen Displays for NEC Display Solutions, the webinar will feature Verena Radulovic, product manager for the Energy Star Program, where she leads the specification development process for displays, TVs and other consumer electronics; and Una Song, program manager for Energy Star, where she manages the institutional market segment.
