DSF hosting golf tourney before DSE in Feb.

October 21, 2010

The Digital Signage Federation (DSF) has announced that it will be holding its inaugural golf tournament just prior to Digital Signage Expo 2011 in Las Vegas this coming February.

Billed as an "extreme" networking event as well as a DSF fund-raiser, the DSF-AM debuts on Monday, Feb. 21, a day before DSE's pre-conference programming kicks off. The shotgun start will go off at 10:30 a.m. at the TPC Las Vegas, with room for only 144 players.

For the $175 entry fee, a player will get a round of golf, cart rental, a box lunch and attendance at the awards reception where food and beverages will be available. Players are encouraged to form their own four-person teams, but singles spots will be awarded upon availability. Club and shoe rentals are extra.

Players must arrange their own transportation to the course, but at 3 p.m. following the event buses will be available for a nominal fee.

Prizes will be awarded for the top three finishing teams, closest to the pin and longest drive, and there will be a "hole-in-one" prize of $50,000. Players can also support the new DSF Scholarship Fund by purchasing raffle and "mulligan" tickets.
