DSF elects officers to head board, set procedures for future board elections

The newly formed independent trade association Digital Signage Federation today announced the election of officers to lead its board of directors.

The newly elected officers, along with the current board, will establish the protocol for an open election to elect a permanent board of directors from the federation's membership, which the DSF expects to take place within the next 90 to180 days.

The industry professionals elected to head up the effort are luminaries in the digital signage sector:

• Chairman – Rich Cooley, CEO & Founder, Visser Digital Media
• Vice Chairman – Bob Stowe, Director, Marketing Services, Wendy's International
• Secretary/Treasurer – Alan Brawn, Principal, Brawn Consulting, LLC

"Our industry is moving decisively to get behind the new federation. It is exciting that in less than a month our membership has already grown to over 200 members," said DSF board chairman Rich Cooley. "We will shortly post committee descriptions and opportunities for our members to sign up and help shape the future of our industry."
