DSE: Peerless wheels out new digital signage cart for mobile video walls

Last week at Digital Signage Expo in Las Vegas, Peerless Industries Inc. introduced a new cart solution for mobile digital signage.

The four-display capacity cart allows for mobile video wall configurations aimed at the staging and rental environments, according to Jeff Blankensop, director, business development for Peerless.

The cart is designed to hold four 40 to 60 inch displays, with a special mounting adapter that nestles the displays together for a smooth, flush positioning, Blankensop said. But at the show the cart also had two smaller displays affixed to the back of the four-display video wall, and Blankensop said Peerless could customize the design to make it a two-sided cart display if a customer asked for it.

The cart is mounted on casters for ease of movement, and the housing at the base of the cart is for cable and hardware management.

"It offers a very clean look and feel," Blankensop said.

The best-use cases for the cart would likely be the staging and rental sectors, and Blankensop said he was approached at the show by someone interested in potentially using the cart as part of a stage backdrop for music concerts. The cart also could be useful for military mobile command and control centers, he said.
