DSE: Harris introduces InfoCaster Online, Punctuate scheduling tool

LAS VEGAS — Harris Corp., an international communications and information technology company, has introduced InfoCaster Online, a Web-based tool for creating, scheduling and distributing InfoCaster-driven digital signage content over a geographically dispersed network. Its introduction establishes a new level of network control and efficiency for operators using InfoCaster digital signage products.

InfoCaster Online is an ideal administrative tool for large digital signage networks where multiple users of varying skill levels can remotely update content to specific screens. It operates on a Web server that runs on the InfoCaster network, interfacing directly with the InfoCaster Manager network management component for managing content across multiple displays. Users can log onto the Web server through an authenticated browser to see only the players and groups of players assigned to them, and the regions in which they have permission to add, delete, edit and schedule stills and video content.

A key component of Harris Digital Signage solutions, InfoCaster offers a complete suite of products for creating, scheduling, distributing, playing and reporting live video and graphics. Users can acquire or create digital content and manage it throughout the entire delivery chain — from a central site or multiple remote locations — on a TCP/IP network. InfoCaster Creator enables easy acquisition and content creation of graphics, live video and dynamic data content, while InfoCaster Manager and InfoCaster Player devices synchronize and deliver content from multiple sources to thousands of remote displays spread over a nationwide network, addressing individual messaging display requirements. Advanced management, scheduling and monitoring tools give users unprecedented control and flexibility over the enterprise network.

The company also unveiled Punctuate, an advanced software solution that manages the scheduling and placement of advertising and promotional content. Punctuate is a suite of flexible, Web-based tools that enable automatic targeting of precise messages to specific signs across a multipoint out-of-home network. Unlike other business management solutions that are only able to run a loop of continuous content across a single network, Punctuate can tag signs with attributes and point a message directly to a group of displays based on similar attributes across the network.
