March 7, 2011

This year's Digital Signage Expo, held last month in Las Vegas, hit a record high for the show's history and drew nearly 4,000 attendees to the desert for the show.

DSE drew more than 3,600 attendees, a 6 percent increase over last year. The show also hosted a record 195 exhibitors, a 14 percent increase over 2010, 57 of which were first-time exhibitors.

"This year's show provided a great platform for us to discuss our SuperSign digital signage solutions with our target audience," Jeff Dowell, vice president, digital signage, for LG Electronics USA, said in a recent announcement. "Valuable relationships are built at DSE that not only provide LG with critical insights into the industry, but also ensure that we are providing our customers with the best products and technologies available."

"DSE 2011 provided us with great hands-on experience in the newest and greatest in the world of digital signage. The attendees at this year's event brought a whole new level of opportunity for Saddle Ranch Productions," said Kim Sarubbi, CEO for content producers Saddle Ranch Productions.

DSE organizers also reported unprecedented on-site renewals of booth space for 2012, with more than 70 percent of the 2011 floor already committed.

In addition, key attendee categories also reflected positive increases:

  • Client end-users - 52.4 percent, or plus 2.4 percent over 2010
  • Advertising Agencies/Brand Marketers - 16.7 percent, or plus 4.7 percent over 2010
  • International Attendees - 19 percent, or plus 1 percent over 2010

Chris Gibbs, president of show producers ExpoNation LLC, said, "DSE has always placed a strong emphasis on education as the most effective catalyst for industry growth. 2011 saw an aggressive expansion of our educational offerings and the industry responded with the largest growth in conference registration in our history – up 37.5 percent!"
