Doohstuff expands to Australia
December 6, 2009
After Doohstuff's launch this summer, the content provider for digital out-of-home networks has expanded its focus outside Europe, starting with Australia and New Zealand. Dutch-born and Sydney-based Jetty van Kooij will be responsible for sales of Doohstuff Down Under.
"Nowadays, running a company like Doohstuff will only be successful if you are operating worldwide," said Piet Hein Goossens, managing director of Doohstuff. "Therefore, we decided to work with agents to pioneer and investigate opportunities in the most emerging markets around the globe. For many years, Jetty has worked at one of the world's largest publishers, Hachette Filipacchi Media, and therefore, she knows how to deal with media."
"Digital signage is booming in our region. Agencies in Sydney, my hometown, are using this medium more and more as part of their marketing mix," said van Kooij. "As Australia is recovering from the economic downturn, people and businesses are starting to spend again. Therefore, setting up an Australian-based agency seems to be the right step for Doohstuff at this point in time."
Jetty van Kooij will start her work for Doohstuff in February 2010.
