Toronto-based startup AddMirror Canada Ltd. has brought over to North America an interesting digital out-of-home advertising solution, one that puts adds up on bathroom mirrors, according to a report in the Toronto Star.
The company bought the Canadian and U.S. licenses for the solution from the U.K. firm that piloted the idea, and then added tweaks to the system like motion sensors that activate the ads when someone approaches the bathroom sink and mirrors.
The ads are printed on film and backlit by LED lighting behind two-way glass, and the company's custom software runs images in a 20-second loop.
