DigitalAd and Starpoint form Southeast Digital Signage Association
April 9, 2008
RALEIGH, N.C. — A new association focusing on promoting digital signage and narrowcast marketing has been created by two Southeastern digital signage networks. The main goal of the Southeast Digital Signage Association is to create standards, as well as promote digital signage to clients and marketing associations while becoming the Southeast's resource for hyper targeted marketing.
SEDSA was formally created in March 2008 by management teams of each of the respective companies. The association is also a central point for advertising agencies to get information for client buys.
"This is going to help marketers exponentially" said Steve Brady, VP of development for DigtialAd. "Up until now it has been an uphill battle for digital signage here in the South. Advertisers and agencies aren't use to having this flexibility. This is where advertising is moving. It needs to be cost effective, in real time, and engaging. If an advertisement can achieve those things, it's not seen as annoying. It's seen as a benefit. Because of this collaborative effort, media buyers now have the penetration of a television network broadcast at a fraction of the cost."
