LONDON — Digital View announced its new through-glass touch controller, designed to allow screens to be operated through a physical barrier such as a store window. The new TGT controller allows up to four touch pads to be operated through typical store-thickness glass, or any other non-conducting material such as a table top.
Designed to work with Digital View's Viewstream and RemotePlayer 3 series of digital media players, the controller can also be used with the company's RP-700 series by using the serial output and a serial to USB adapter. Touch pads can be made of any electrically conductive material such as self-adhesive copper tape, and can be made as large as is convenient, as long as a spacing of at least 0.125 inches is left between adjacent pads.
