Digital View launching new Integre chassis for large format digital signage
May 23, 2010
Digital View, manufacturer of the ViewStream range of digital signage products, is launching its new Integre chassis range at the Society for Information Displays Conference's general exhibition in Seattle, starting tomorrow.
According to a company release, Integre products incorporate all required logic, electrical and thermal hardware onto a single platform. Assembled in California, each Integre chassis is preconfigured with the clients' choice of LCD Controller, high-capacity power supplies, wiring harness and thermal management components. The basis of each chassis is a stiff aluminum frame custom built for high-definition panels up to 82-inch diagonal.
Developed in cooperation with Avnet Inc. and Samsung Semiconductor Inc., Digital View has recently begun delivery of Integre systems supporting various Samsung Digital Information Displays (DID) panels.
The Integre systems offer design elements that eliminate panel "hot spots," reduce power supply load and enhance thermal control, Digital View says. Integre is engineered to offer exceptional reliability performance and a calculated MTBF rating in excess of 135,000 hours, and it's covered by a three-year manufacturer's warranty.
To manage remote display installations, Integre users can choose from a host of system critical remote monitoring functions — including LCD performance, ambient temperature, power supply loading and impact data. Operators can remotely monitor performance in real-time and receive alerts if issues arise.
Connectivity options range from DVI, HDMI and VGA to professional HD-SDI, and with options for integrated Digital View solid state ViewStream digital media players and Pico-ITX motherboards, the Integre can be turned into a totally self-contained digital signage or touchscreen kiosk solution.
"Working with these large format displays can be tricky, and certainly extremely expensive when things go wrong," Digital View product director Neil Wood said. "The Integre range offers all the flexibility, options and comfort that system integrators require."
