Digital View launches new 10.2-inch industrial monitor

LCD-display provider Digital View has announced the release of a 10.2-inch widescreen, compact industrial LCD monitor designed for digital signage and other applications.

The new MON-100W offers direct connection to any DVI, VGA, S-video or composite input sources, displaying high resolution at 1024 by 600, according to Digital View.

The MON-100W's wide viewing-angle TFT LCD panel offers 220cd/m brightness at a contrast ratio of 400:1, and its menu functions (such as input select) can be controlled via external hot key buttons or infrared remote, or through the RS-232 port via serial commands.

Light weight (1 kilogram) and measuring only 248 mm by 246 mm by 114 mm, the 12VDC MON-100W is mounted into a powder-coated aluminum enclosure with the option of a fixable desktop stand.

The MON-100W is further optimized to run with the Digital View ViewStream range of solid-state digital media players, offering a compact digital signage solution for applications where display and media player are designed to be mounted separately.

"The pro-A/V channel is constantly coming up with applications for small, light weight, reliable displays," said Neil Wood, product director at Digital View Ltd.
