Digital View expands HD-SDI adapter board line

July 1, 2010

Digital View today announced the release of the latest addition to their family of HD-SDI adapter boards, which the company says will allow professional display designers to extend the capabilities of their display solutions.

Designed specifically for high-end video applications such as broadcast and digital signage, the HD-3000 can be added to any display system using Digital View's SVH-1920 LCD controller to enable dual channel HD-SDI (up to 3G transfer rates) for driving HDMI monitors. Fully standards compliant, the HD-3000 provides re-clocked loop through outputs for ‘daisy chaining' multiple monitors or other equipment to the same HD-SDI source. It also offers support for embedded audio.

"The HD-SDI adapter is an extremely cost-effective option for transferring HD-SDI signals across long distances," said Digital View chairman James Henry.

This addition to the product range is an important development for display system designers, the company says. The combination of the SVH-1920 and the HD-3000 make it possible to develop professional video display products quickly and cost effectively.

The SVH-1920 is one of Digital View's high-end, cost-effective professional LCD controller interfaces offering support for full 1080p High Definition LCD displays. The SVH-1920 is a fully buffered multi-sync interface controller that provides analog and digital connection - PC, DVI & Video Interface - for a wide range of TFT LCD panels up to WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels) from companies such as Sharp, Samsung, LG and AU Optronics.

Featuring full screen image expansion of lower resolutions, image flip and invert functions, and onscreen PIP functions, the SVH-1920 also supports an available High-Definition Serial Digital Interface (HD-SDI) adapter for professional and broadcast video applications.
