LONDON — Held in conjunction with KioskCom Self Service Expo Europe, now in its third year, the Digital Signage Show Europe opened yesterday, offering attendees a look into the European display market.
The hub of activity during the first day of the show was at the front of London Olympia's National Hall at theSamsung booth, where the display leader showed a nine-screen video wall.
The Samsung ID was launched in recent months and is being shown in the U.K. for the first time at this show, said Ami Randhana, commercial manager for Samsung. The unit comes with a base that anchors the screens, which can then be stacked up to five-high using interlocking posts.
Randhana said that the video wall at the show, a three-by-three matrix, took only about 20 minutes to set up, while other video walls can take several hours to assemble. Using the posts, screens can pivot, allowing the wall to be convex or concave as well as flat.
