After a brief break in the action on Wednesday, Euro 2012 gets back under way today in Poland and Ukraine — and digital signage is there.
In addition to giant digital signage screens and scoreboards showing the action on the field at the European soccer championships, U.K.-based Armagard is touting the deployment of its outdoor digital signage enclosures at the five new stadiums erected for the tourney.
First-time host nations Poland and the Ukraine underwent dramatic infrastructure improvements to accommodate the large number of expected football fans, including the construction of five stadiums, each ranging in capacity from 30,000 to 50,000 people.
Supplying 485 units in total, Armagard's 42- and 52-inch enclosures were installed throughout the new stadiums, where the screens will be used for advertising, halftime food menus, information points and match highlights, according to the announcement from Armagard.
