Digital Signage Expo expands Las Vegas event

LAS VEGAS — Digital Signage Expo has announced some changes to its February 2008 show.
  • The pre-show escorted coach tour now will occupy the complete morning of Tuesday, Feb. 26, beginning at 9 a.m. Stops during the four-hour tour will include digital signage installations at Planet Hollywood Hotel, the Verizon Wireless Store and the Steve Wyrick Theatre.
  • A series of presentations concerning case studies and installations from around the world will occur from 2-5 p.m. following the coach tour. 
  • The Summit Conference Program, 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, has been expanded to include six tracks with five sessions each, for a total of 30 sessions focused on digital signage and interactive technology. Tracks will include retail, advertising and marketing, hospitality, public spaces, Digital Signage 101 and technology.
  • In addition to the traditional Keynote Breakfast presentation on Thursday, Feb. 28, DSE has added a Breakfast Super Session on Wednesday, Feb 27. The speaker will be Mike Hiatt, director of in-store media networks for Wal-Mart Stores Inc. His talk is titled, "The Past, Present & Future of the Nation's Leading Retail Media Network."
Other panelists and presenters will include representatives from British Petroleum, Circuit City, Forrester Research, Frito Lay, Home Depot, Nike, Reuters, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, StarCom Worldwide and USPS.
 
Digital Signage Expo and Interactive Technology Expo will be co-located at the Las Vegas Convention Center and will run February 27-28, 2008.
