Digital signage solution and content developer iGotcha Media has announced the addition of virtual reality applications to its service and product offerings.
Incorporating the new HTC Vive virtual reality headset, iGotcha Media applications enable users to have an immersive experience due to graphics, HD haptic feedback and 360-degree tracking, according to a company press release. The technology converts a regular room into a 3D space where users may walk around and use motion-tracked handheld controllers to manipulate virtual objects.
"We are very pleased to be adding VR applications to our suite of offerings," said Greg Adelstein, president of iGotcha Media. "We are currently working on customized applications for event marketing campaigns. Our clients will be able to offer amazing experiences to customers and prospects at events including tradeshows and in public retails spaces, such as malls. From our perspective, VR is a logical extension of the augmented reality applications that we have successfully developed for clients for several years. And, as evidenced by the incredible popularity of Pokemon Go, we know that the public appetite for these types of applications is immense! We believe that VR will provide an unprecedented opportunity for brands to engage customers. Furthermore, research suggests that this market will grow impressively in coming years. We look forward to launching our first VR application, for a longstanding client, this autumn."
