Davey Awards recognizes Visix for custom interactive signage

Visix Inc. has won the Silver Davey Award for its custom interactive signage design at the Adele H. Stamp Student Union at the University of Maryland. Its signage won the Best User Experience category, according to a press release.

Visix supplied the student union with touchscreens on 11 different sites to help users find people and places within the five-story building. The content comes in English, Spanish and Mandarin and was created using HTML5 for mobile compatibility.

The Davey Awards honors the best creative work from small agencies, companies and firms, and are judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts.
