Daktronics, a video wall producer, has partnered with TSI Global, an audio-visual manufacturer and the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department to design, manufacture and install a high-resolution LED video wall, which interfaces with live security feeds from across St. Louis to deliver communication for the department.at the Real Time Crime Center in Missouri, according to a company press release.
"In recent years, technology has greatly enhanced law enforcement's ability to combat violent crime," St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said in the release. "Through the use of various technologies within our Real Time Crime Center, including cameras and license plate readers, our department has been able to bring successful conclusions to hundreds of incidents. We greatly appreciate the assistance of the St. Louis Police Foundation and the work done by TSI Global and Daktronics in order to complete this project. We are very pleased with the end result and believe these enhancements and upgrades will continue to contribute to the department's overall goal of reducing violent crime."
The video wall measures 4.5 feet high by 48 feet wide and features 1.2-millimeter line spacing to deliver imagery for critical information inside the crime center.
"Partnering with TSI Global has allowed us to deliver the latest in Buy American Act compliant LED technology capable of extremely detailed and realistic image reproduction in a location where every detail is paramount," Kyle Harris, Daktronics sales representative, said in the release. "This installation will provide clear colors, superior grey scale and resolution that will help depict real-time data and information in the crime center."
The display includes variable content zoning, allowing it to show one large image or be divided into multiple windows to deliver real-time data and information. Daktronics offers a line of narrow pixel pitch LED displays ranging from 2.5- to 0.7-millimeter line spacings.
TSI Global was established in 1987 and is located in St. Charles, Missouri. Founded in 1968, Daktronics is based in Brookings, South Dakota.
