Daktronics installs lightweight LED displays for Sanford Health

December 21, 2017

Daktronics recently installed a lightweight LED display on the outside of Sanford Health's Imagenetics building in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The 21-foot high and 18-foot wide display wraps around a corner of the building at a 90-degree angle, according to a press release.

The display's content focuses on the research and genetic testing that researchers perform in the building. For example, Daktronics designed two animations, one featuring a fingerprint and a DNA double helix, according to the release.

Daktronics built the display with stick shaped LED elements with 50-millimeter line spacing. It also spaced out the sticks by 25 milimeters to allow people inside the building to see the display.

"Sanford Health was looking to do something different and unique that would stand out at their Imagenetics building, and we're excited that we were able to provide them with the solution they were looking for," Matt Warnke, sales representative, Daktronics, said in the release. "This facility is focused on the future and the collaboration between genetics and primary care, so they wanted something to help match their image. This installation definitely does that for them."
