D-Link has launched two power-over-Ethernet switches for LED lighting, digital signage, point-of-sale systems and more. The DGS-1100-26MPP and DGS-1100-10MPP are 802.3bt compliant and can deliver up to 90-watts of power to devices, according to a press release.
These solutions can power devices up to 300-feet away over one Ethernet cable and include maximum power budgets of 518 Watts for a 24-port and 242 watts for an eight-port.
Customers can also use the PD Alive feature to ping attached IP cameras or wireless access points to reset the power during inactive periods. The devices can also detect compatible ONVIF cameras and place them in surveillance VLAN, according to the release.
"These switches are designed to help IT personnel quickly set up, power, and manage PoE devices on their network," Steve Olen, director of product marketing at D-Link, said in the release. "Because they support the new 802.3bt standard, they also allow for compatibility across multiple vendors and powered devices."
