Comark announces new digital media player

April 15, 2007

MEDFIELD, Mass. — Comark Corp. announced its new ThinSign digital media player, which will be on display at Self Service Expo 2007 in Las Vegas. The device's outer housing provides multiple VESA mounting patterns for direct attachment to the back of any sized flat-panel display.

"ThinSign's housing actually supports the display, and, combined with the low-profile of the unit itself, minimizes local connection cable clutter," said Steve Schott, president of Comark Corporation.

"The majority of digital signage installation environments require aesthetically appealing display solutions. ThinSign maximizes content delivery effectiveness while simplifying cable management keeping hardware and connections out of sight," said Tom Giuliano, business development manager for Comark's Self-Service and Digital Signage Division. "ThinSign's direct-to-display mounting capability eliminates the need to locate a remote PC player on the floor or in a ceiling, and facilitates authorized access and reduces the potential for tampering."

ThinSign is built on low-power, quiet, Mobile Pentium technology capable of supporting several commercially available Windows or Linux based players. It supports several MPEG formats in both standard and high definition and has integrated serial ports for remote display control.
