Cloud-based SaaS, digitalsignage.NET, launches in U.K.

U.K.-based software-as-a-service digitalsignage.NET by Dynamax Technologies announced yesterday that it has officially launched and is taking on new clients.
The Web-based SaaS solution uses Windows Azure cloud technology to allow users to migrate from traditional systems to the new, completely web-based subscription model.
Offering various subscription levels, the system offers a variety of useful features, the company says:
- completely cloud-based scalability and no license fees;
- reliability and availability: Windows Azure means fast access amongst multiple redundant data centers across the globe, with full online and offline backups;
- for reporting and scheduling, all data is logged and scheduling is done utilizing a familiar Outlook-style interface;
- the system health monitors the health of players around the world and proactively solves issues;
- media support: MPEG2, MPEG4, H264, WMV, Flash, JPG, PNG, PPT, RSS and more;
- interface triggers interact with EPOS, Fire Alarms, Emergency Systems;
- 2048bit HTTPS security;
- metadata allows users to take full advantage of Google apps and inject feeds and contents at time of playback; and
- full API to utilize for digital signage projects.
