Clear Channel lands digital-billboard deal in L.A.

LOS ANGELES — Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings Inc. is adding Los Angeles, the second-largest DMA market in the United States, to its list of digital-billboard networks.
"Los Angeles is the first of a number of top-10 U.S. markets in which we will launch our Digital Outdoor Networks this calendar year," said Paul Meyer, president and chief executive of Clear Channel Outdoor.
The Los Angeles network consists of 10 interconnected digital (14-feet x 48-feet) bulletin displays that run a continuous 64-second loop of 8-second static advertisements.According to a news release, each execution will be displayed more than 1,000 times per day.
In addition to Los Angeles, Clear Channel Outdoor has launched digital-billboard networks in Akron, Ohio; Albuquerque, N.M.; Cleveland; Columbus, Ohio; Las Vegas; Memphis, Tenn.; Milwaukee; Minneapolis/St. Paul; Tampa Bay, Fla.; and Wichita, Kansas.
