Digital signage display provider Christie has launched its Christie Velvet Apex Series of LED tiles featuring 1.2- and 1.6-millimeter pixel pitches. Part of the Christie Velvet family, the Apex Series is designed for 24/7 critical viewing applications including command-and-control rooms and high-security surveillance monitoring. The series will be on display at this year's ISE, Feb. 9-12 in Amsterdam.

According to Christie, the Apex Series also is designed to be suitable for corporate lobbies, museums and large-scale experiences, as well as indoor advertising and high-end retail applications. The series features increased flexibility with a new slim design, 100 percent front-serviceability, 16-by-9 aspect ratio, native HD and UHD resolutions, micro adjustments and more.

"Featuring the most efficient use of power, precision output control, advanced monitoring capability and design flexibility, with clear, detailed imagery, Apex Series delivers what critical viewing environments are looking for," said Nick Fazio, product manager, Christie, in the announcement. "Our design also includes the Macroblock Hawkeye Solution Platform for long-term image uniformity, quality and performance."

The Apex Series is designed to be easy to install, configure, manage and service, and the Apex Intelligent Module adds features that make modules "plug-and-play," reducing downtime and reconfiguration requirements, Christie said.

Apex Series solution features include:

  • 16-by-9 aspect ratio;
  • Remote and redundant power supply;
  • 100 percent front-serviceable;
  • Slim ADA-compliant design;
  • Landscape and portrait options;
  • Advanced monitoring capability (SNMP);
  • Apex Intelligent Module, enabling memory on module and more;
  • Native HD and UHD resolutions;
  • Micro adjustment capability; and
  • Very low frame delay.

The Apex Series will ship in April with a three-year parts and labor warranty along with Christie's customer service and post-warranty options, the announcement said.
