CAYIN outfits high-end Taiwanese hotel with digital signage
January 6, 2009
TAIPEI, Taiwan — Monarch Skyline Hotel, a five-star hotel in Taoyuan, Taiwan, adopted CAYIN Technology's digital signage solution to replace the traditional static bulletin boards in lobbies, banquet rooms and hallways. The new communication platform can convey instant and multimedia information to hotel guests. It not only enhances work efficiency, but also establishes a modern and high-quality hotel image.
This project involves 16 Signage Media Players and two Content Management Servers installed outside the ballrooms on the 3rd floor, B1 floor and other public areas such as hallways and the reception area. The deployment of digital signage players and servers integrated with high-definition displays enables information to be presented through a high-quality public communication platform providing customers with brand new visual experiences.
Broadly applicable to different occasions
When a ballroom is booked for a wedding, the doorway display can show wedding pictures, the title of the event, or other related information. When it is reserved for a seminar, the display can demonstrate information such as the agenda or main themes of the meeting so that participants can find the room quicker and more easily.
To align with the various applications of the ballroom, Monarch Skyline Hotel selected the Web-based digital signage media player SMP-WEBPLUS. Users can design the Web page layout to create unique and vivid multimedia pictures such as HTML/Flash/JPG, HD video and streaming video playback.
Public information announcements
For displays set in hallways and the reception area, Skyline chose the zone-type digital signage media player, SMP-PRO3, which supports real-time video, playback of image slide show, ticker text, video, clock and the date in a maximum of six zones. SMP-PRO3 provides a platform for Skyline to convey the hotel image, an introduction of hotel facilities and instant information. Moreover, users can adjust the size and location of each zone by using the handy tool, Skin Editor, with an intuitive drag-and-drop interface.
In addition to digital signage media players, Monarch Skyline Hotel also purchased the Content Management Server, CMS-Mini, to control all players in the hotel. Skyline can achieve its goal of improving efficiency and lowering the personnel cost through central scheduling, streaming broadcasting and content updating from the servers.
