Carousel Digital Signage extends compatibility to Samsung Tizen displays

Carousel Digital Signage has provided media player support for Samsung commercial displays built on the Samsung Smart Signage Platform with the Tizen operating system.

This means AV integrators and IT teams can deploy digital signage on the millions of Samsung commercial TVs already in use, according to a press release.

By leveraging Samsung's embedded SoC platform, Carousel extends its reach to a vast installed base of screens.

Carousel Cloud Player can be installed on Samsung Tizen displays using standard methods, including Samsung's Tizen Business Manager for large rollouts. Tizen Business Manager is a free Samsung portal that allows administrators to register fleets of screens and remotely push apps and configurations.

Using this portal, integrators can upload the Carousel app to many displays at once. After the app is deployed, users launch it on each TV and enter an activation code in the Carousel Cloud platform to link that display to its content.
