Caltron releases HD media player for digital signage applications

FREMONT, Calif. — Caltron has released its MP-1080A, a full-HD 1080 Media Player. This digital signage solution is a standalone plug-and-play unit. It plays content from a Compact Flash and/or a USB drive. A LAN input connector (RJ45) is available for added convenience for updating content.

Standard display interface includes both VGA and DVI inputs with optional HDMI also available. With many LCD display monitors now having HDMI inputs, this optional HDMI output allows users to output both video and audio using a single cable/connector from an MPEG player to an LCD monitor and/or LCD TV display. Content loaded in via Compact Flash is automatically played in a continuous loop. Formats supported include JPEG, MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4(DivX) and MP3.
