TEL AVIV, Israel — C-nario, a global provider of digital signage software solutions, announced that the company's digital signage platform has been implemented in Casino da Madeira, located in Funchal, capital of the Madeira Islands of Portugal. C-nario's solution enables displaying the jackpot amount throughout the casino gaming floor and in nearby hotels.
Casino da Madeira is a well-known casino with more than 200 slot machines. The project was conducted by Sign4U, a company specializing in building and installing signs for casinos, and by Sign4U's Portuguese partner, Trade Game, a provider of casino equipment.
C-nario's platform displays the jackpot meter on five LCD screens inside the casino, in a unique graphical design with special effects, along with commercial messages and movie clips. When someone wins at a slot machine, preconfigured video, audio and text content (called "hit show") is displayed, according to predefined rules. The jackpot meter is also broadcast to external screens located in five surrounding hotels on the island of Madeira, attracting hotel guests to the casino.
C-nario Messenger's digital signage platform receives progressive jackpot data and wins from the casino's slot machine controllers in real time, using XML technology. The real-time data is converted into a graphical, fully configurable jackpot meter.
"We were highly impressed by C-nario's products and capabilities, and by the company's ability to implement its platform in a very short time," said Giel Barrau, system engineer, Signs4U. "Following this successful implementation, we see tremendous future opportunities for other casinos. Digital signage is definitely becoming very important in casinos, and is key for attracting more players and generating increased revenues."
