BTX to distribute Just Add Power's new HD-SDI over IP transmitter

BTX Technologies, a distributor and manufacturer of interface, integration and system products, is now offering Just Add Power's 2G+ HD-SDI over IP transmitter. The new device is an expansion of Just Add Power's 2G/2G+ HD over IP solution, which allows users to connect limitless SDI video sources to IP networks for delivery to an unlimited number of HD screens over a single LAN, according to a news release.

The new transmitter is intended for commercial, government, education, residential or other settings where users need to distribute targeted information to multiple locations, BTX Technologies President Greg Schwartz said in the release.

"By combining the installation simplicity of plug-and-play with the robustness of secure HD video transmission, the device is an easy, complete solution for IP video distribution," he said.

By enabling high-definition digital video broadcast over IP connections using instant, seamless switching, the company said, the transmitter achieves a 1,000-percent increase in specified network speed and allows users to replicate crystal clear 1080p video quality that is indistinguishable from source content.

The solution also works with the standard structured cable wiring found in most modern facilities, enabling video distribution and switching without dedicated wiring. Users can locate both SDI and HDMI video sources and displays throughout facilities by connecting them to existing LANs, which makes the solution applicable for large digital signage applications, the company said.

BTX Technologies was set to display the new transmitter at this year's NAB Show.
