October 11, 2009
Black Box has announced it will be showcasing iCOMPEL, an integrated digital signage solution that includes both software and hardware, at The Digital Signage Show New York. The expo will be held Nov. 10-11, 2009, at the Javits Center in New York City. Black Box will also be showcasing a number of its digital signage infrastructure products including video and audio over Ethernet Extender System (AC1140A), which serves as a cost-effective method to leverage existing cabling infrastructure to distribute HD-quality digital signage content over LAN. It will also show the LongSpan 900-MHz Wireless Ethernet Extenders (LS900A), which set up long-range point-to-point or multipoint wireless Ethernet communications, even in areas without a clear line of site. It is designed to send data to digital signage appliances, outdoor LED boards, and kiosks. Also in the booth will be the HD View (AC3008A), a modular multimedia transmission system for extending video, audio and serial control over CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6, or CAT7. Black Box will also show the 8 x 8 DVI Matrix Switch with IP Control (XPT-DVI8X8). In addition to serial and push button control, the matrix switch provides remote access via IP control. The device also supports HDCP.
