Black Box, a digital edge solutions provider, has extended its line of KVM extenderswith its Emerald PE transmitters and receivers for HD video and audio editing, 3D and graphic design and more. This solution can extend and matrix switch for HD DVI video up to 1920-by-1200 at 60 Hertz, according to a press release.
Emerald PE offers transparent USB 2.0 and bi-directional analog audio over a dedicated or existing IP network. Other features include:

"Emerald PE extenders reliably connect users with one or many remote machines, ensuring zero keyboard/mouse latency that makes it feel as if the computer is situated just below the user's desk. While it is optimized for HD, Emerald PE provides room for growth. Should users' requirements change, the system also supports higher resolutions with the addition of Emerald 4K extenders."
