Atlona ships AV encoder

Atlona, a Panduit company, has launched its OmniStream 111 Wallplate single channel networked A/V encoder. The device supports HDMI sources up to 4K at 60 Hertz with High Dynamic Range, according to a press release.

The OmniStream 111 comes with a two-gang enclosures for wallplate openings as well as interchangeable black and white trim kits for more inconspicuous installations. Other features include:

  • Forward error correction for network error resilience.
  • VC-2 video compression technology.
  • Optional support for 12-bit Dolby Vision content at 60 frames per second.
  • HDCP 2.2 compliant.
  • Supports power-over-Ethernet.

"Our OmniStream platform delivers an exceptional combination of performance, feature-richness and cost-effectiveness for systems integrators and end users as they move from traditional signal distribution to A/V over IP," David Shamir, director of product management, Atlona, said in the release. "We are pleased to provide our customers with even greater installation flexibility by delivering OmniStream’s capabilities in this convenient wallplate form factor."
