Atlona launches 4K transmitter, receiver kit

Atlona has introduced its AT-HDR-EX-70C-Kit transmitter/receiver kit, designed to extend HDMI, power and control signals over HDBaseT. This device can transmit HDMI signals up to 4K at 60 Hertz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling, according to a press release.

The kit features power over ethernet and bidirectional extension of RS-232 and infrared control signals. Other features include:

  • Power supply can power up to three Atlona HDBaseT extenders.
  • Can transmit 4K content up to 130 feet and 1080p content up to 230 feet.
  • Supports PCM, Dolby and DTS audio formats.
  • Can pass metadata for HDR content.

"Atlona is continuing to develop innovative AV solutions that address the growing demand for distributing HDR-enhanced content while making systems integrators’ jobs easier," Joshua Castro, product manager, Atlona, said in the release. "The HDR-EX-70C-KIT’s advanced compression technology overcomes the challenges of transporting HDR-enhanced 4Kp60 signals over HDBaseT, while its PoE, control signal extension and integrated link testing capabilities further streamline integration and deployment."
