Atlona and Symetrix partner to boost A/V over IP deployments
Atlona has partnered with Symetrix to boost integration and improve interoperability across the A/V over IP ecosystem. The companies aim to simplify how system integrators handle networked systems to and from the digital signage processor, according to a press release.
They will use intelligent on-off ramps for audio, video and peripherals, along with Atlona's IP-enabled Velocity control system to simplify configuration and management of networked components. Symetrix will also integrate its Radius, Edge and Prism DSPs with Atlona's OminsStream A/V over IP platform.
The companies have similar hardware architectures such as Dante audio support, and they have minimal overlap among product lines, according to Trent Wagner, senior product manager, Symetrix.
"As the DSP is the central part of most AV systems, Symetrix is continually seeking ways to help our integration partners build the most cost effective and flexible systems possible," Wagner said in the release. "As our industry moves toward everything over IP, we’re committed to addressing the new time consuming challenges our customers face in building out a networked architecture. Our collaboration with Atlona simplifies the programming and control of these systems, and helps us build stronger IP bridges and on/off ramps for audio, video and USB."
