Aten intros control app for HDMI over IP extenders

Aten Technology Inc. has introduced its VE8950/VE8900 Control App for iOS and Android to control its VE8950 and VE8900 4K HDMI over IP Extenders. With this app, users can switch sources and displays and apply or reschedule profiles for the extenders, according to a press release.

Users can access VE Manager on the app, where they can preview, monitor and control video sources remotely. They can also check the status of receivers and adjust content schedules, according to the release.

With no complicated IP setup, additional server PCs or software needed, these solutions are perfectly designed to address the challenges that system integrators encounter while implementing A/V over IP," YT Liang, senior product manager, Aten, said in the release. "This, coupled with the new Control App, gives complete mobility, intuitive control and more power to users, allowing them to manage their networked AV systems effortlessly."
