FREMONT, Calif. — Arista Corp., an industrial computer solutions provider and system integrator, has developed a new ruggedized panel computer with a 19-inch LCD screen for industrial supervisory control applications, the ARP-2019. According to a news release, the panel computer also supports dual 19-inch LCD displays simultaneously, with independent display content. The large and dual LCD displays make it ideal for supervisory control, touting visual ease and comfort.
The computer provides both VESA and panel mounting, with quick and easy installation. The front bezel is NEMA 4 and IP65 compliant with a strengthened glass or resistive touchscreen that protects the LCD panel from scratching. The unit also has an aluminum bezel with a heavy-duty reinforced steel chassis.
The ARP-2019 panel computer is powered by an Intel P4 or Pentium-M CPU, supports up to 1GB SDRAM and has one PCI expansion slot. The panel computer is equipped with a CD-ROM or DVD-CDRW combo drive. The unit has a 19-inch or UXGA (1280 x 1024) TFT color LCD supported by an Intel Extreme Graphics controller with up to 64MB of shared memory. The panel computer has a 2.5-inch IDE HDD, four USB 2.0 ports, up to four RS-232 ports and one RJ45 10/100 Ethernet port.
"The ARP-2019 is extremely thin, only 3.75 inches, making it very versatile and easy to install just about anywhere," said Stewart Austin, director of sales for Arista Corp. "The ruggedized intuitive touchscreen interface is ideal for various industrial environments such as machine control and factory automation."
