May 22, 2005

FREMONT, Calif. — Arista Corp., a computer solutions provider and system integrator, has developed a new ruggedized panel computer with a large 20.1-inch LCD screen, the ARP-2020, designed for industrial supervisory control applications. The ARP-2020 panel computer can also simultaneously support two 20.1-inch LCD displays with independent display content.

The new industrial panel computer provides both VESA and panel mounting for quick installation. The front bezel is NEMA 4 and IP65 compliant, and its strengthened glass or resistive touchscreen protects the LCD panel from scratching. The panel computer also has an aluminum bezel with a heavy-duty reinforced steel chassis.

The ARP-2020 panel computer is powered by an Intel P4 or Pentium-M CPU, and supports up to 1GB SDRAM and one PCI expansion slot. The panel computer is equipped with a CD-ROM or DVD-CDRW combo drive. The unit has a 20.1-inch UXGA (1600 x 1200) TFT color LCD supported by an Intel Extreme Graphics controller with up to 64MB of shared memory. The panel computer has a 2.5-inch IDE HDD, equipped with four USB 2.0 ports, up to four RS-232 ports and one RJ45 10/100 Ethernet port.
