Aquatics center unveils LED video wall

Long Bridge Aquatics and Fitness, an aquatics center in Arlington, Virginia, has teamed with Productive AV to install a Planar LED wall adjacent to the swimming area, along with integrated audio systems and three built-in cameras, according to a press release and installation case study.
The center includes an Olympic pool, a family leisure pool and a fitness center. The LED video wall, a Planar CarbonLight CLO series model, was installed above the competitive swimming area and features an IP65 Ingress Protection Rating.
"The biggest challenge throughout this project was the water," Austin Harber, marketing representative at Productive AV, said in the case study. "Electrical equipment needed to be waterproof against corrosive materials. Planar's design, with carbon-fiber construction and an IP65 waterproof rating, provides durability for this environment."
"Our diving area is located off to one side of the pool, so relaying live footage to the video board would provide people in spectator seating with a better viewing experience of the diving competitions," Iggy Rodriguez, assistant manager at Long Bridge Aquatics and Fitness Center, said in the case study. "Additionally, we can organize internal events utilizing the video wall. For example, one of the things we hope to do soon is a movie night, with people watching from the pool, the pool deck or even our spectator seating area. There are so many different things we can do with that video board — the opportunities are endless."
