May 24, 2007
EXTON, Pa. — Scala Inc. today announced that Aquaria@KLCC in Malaysia and Scala have won the 'Best in Class Creative Content — Public Spaces' award at the Digital Signage Expo in Chicago. The award, one of only six awarded, highlights excellence in Digital Signage applications in public spaces.
In conjunction with Scala partner Click Grafix, Scala created a highly appealing Digital Signage solution for Aquaria@KLCC's unique environment. Aquaria@KLCC, a gigantic aquarium with an underwater tunnel opened its doors to the public in August 2005. Developed and operated by Aquawalk Sdn Bhd, the aquarium integrates edutainment with live aquatic attractions in its Discovery Centre.
Visitors who step into the entrance of Aquaria@KLCC are greeted by digital signage displayed from a rear LCD projection onto a long glass panel measuring approximately 14 x 4 feet. The signage combines a dynamic mix of graphic visuals, text and video.
