Aopen debuts OPS digital signage player built on ChromeOS

Aopen has released the Aopen Chromebox OPS-BP5130 electronic signage player.

The company demonstrated the technology at ISE 2025 describing it as the world's first OPS launched with ChromeOS, according to a press release.

It features the Intel standard Open Pluggable Specification, offering seamless installation, maintenance, and upgrade capabilities and integrates with Chrome Education Upgrade, enabling efficient management of OPS electronic whiteboard equipment and student Chromebooks.

Built on ChromeOS, this solution provides robust security and a user-friendly platform, making it a cost-effective and easy-to-manage choice for digital learning environments

It supports 4K2K UHD video and is compatible with OPS commercial displays. Powered by the Intel RPL platform, it delivers smooth, reliable performance even under heavy workloads.
