AmStar rolls out financial services kiosk in Colorado
July 18, 2005
CARROLLTON, Texas: AmStar Systems Inc., a Texas self-service financial kiosk manufacturer, announced in a July 18 news release the planned rollout of 18 of its full-service multifunction ATMs in Colorado at the end of July.
Carole H. Haynes, vice president of sales and marketing for AmStar Systems, said "…the AmStar eca$hier financial services kiosks are being placed by an investment group into grocery stores and convenience stores in Colorado. These stores understand the huge business opportunity in becoming the bank for the unbanked. ...With profit margins dwindling, they are looking excitedly to becoming ‘the place' where customers can head on payday to cash a paycheck, send a money transfer, purchase a money order, or buy a prepaid debit card and then load it with their cash to buy wireless and long distance minutes."
"Changes in the U.S. socioeconomic base, which now includes approximately 40 million of the unbanked, have created an enormous demand for more convenient and efficient access to financial instruments and services for this group," added Haynes.
