The Atrium Health Amphitheater, a live entertainment venue 80 miles south of Atlanta, Georgia, has added a digital signage network featuring 1,700 square feet of outdoor LED video technology from SNA Displays.
Architectural and technology consultant Metinteractive oversaw the project and provided LED installation services, selecting SNA Displays to manufacture and supply six digital screens from the company's Empire Exterior line of LED video displays, according to a press release.
The digital signage upgrade includes four LED ribbon displays that employ a 10 mm pixel pitch. Each one ranges from approximately 100 to 200 feet long and mounted along the amphitheater's outer concrete wall.
Facing outward from the arena and internally into a courtyard area, the LED ribbons feature digital out-of-home advertising and sponsorship recognition when not part of a live show.
A 7-foot-11-inch tall by 15 feet and 9 inches wide (360 x 720 pixels) wall-mounted LED display, with a 6.6 mm pixel, pitch greets guests as they enter the Butler Auto Gate.
Another 6.6 mm display, measuring 15 foot tall by 9 foot 5 inch wide (684 x 432), welcomes guests at the Davis Plumbing Company Gate and VIP entrance. The vertically oriented, freestanding dvLED is next to static wayfinding signage.
In total, the digital displays at the amphitheater process more than 1.9 million pixels.
"Digital signage like what we provided for the Atrium Health Amphitheater is a major benefit for outdoor entertainment venues," Barbara Barry, SNA Displays' director of sports and live events, said in the release. "It offers key sponsorship and advertising revenue on a platform that can easily switch between key messaging, digital out-of-home, or show content."
