American Industrial Systems Inc, a subsidiary of Ennoconn Corporation and a manufacturer of human-machine interface, touchscreen interfaces and industrial PC products, announced that Joe Fijak has joined the company as executive vice president and COO.
Fijak had served as a member of the AIS Board of Directors since 2013, according to a company press release.
The company last week announced a partnership with Ennoconn Corporation, selling a 60 percent stake of AIS to Ennoconn. The partnership will combine and align organizations to capitalize on the transformative trends of Industry 4.0, Industrial IoT and industrial automation markets, the release said.
The move also expands AIS's footprint in the OEM/ODM/EMS markets as part of the Foxconn IPC Technology Group. In light of the strategic partnership venture, Fijak was moved into a full-time, senior management role to guide and manage AIS's future sales direction and growth. The partnership made AIS a subsidiary of Ennonconn/Foxconn IPC Technology Group.
"As a proven and dynamic leader in our industry, Joe Fijak has already been a major contributor to AIS's strategic vision over the past few years," said Nelson Tsay, president of AIS. "He is a natural fit for our sales and management leadership team, as we embark on a new path with Ennoconn Corporation/Foxconn IPC Technology Group. Joe brings a unique blend of sales management experience and leadership qualities and has an expansive network of relationships on a global scale with key technology people, customers and suppliers. He is also a proven strategist and manager with extraordinary passion, energy and operational expertise within very large, complex electronics organizations"
Fijak's career history includes more than 25 years of direct display, touchscreen and embedded solutions industry. He was most recently global senior vice president of sales and marketing for Sanmina Corporation, Mechanical Systems and Display Solutions division. Prior to this role, he was vice president of Avnet Electronics' embedded solutions business unit, the release said. Fijak also was part of the senior management team for Reptron Electronics.
Additionally, Fijak was a founding partner of technology sales and marketing firm Premier Technology Sales Inc. He is a frequent keynote speaker at industry conferences and has served on numerous technology company and industry boards.
"I am excited and energized to take on a leadership role with this great company and to be at the beginning stages of this next exciting chapter for AIS," Fijak said. "The recent, formal strategic partnership announcement with the Ennoconn Corporation and Foxconn IPC Technology Group allows us to build upon our leadership position and grow market share and sales revenues in all global HMI, Smart touchscreen and IPC markets for the company."
