Almo Pro A/V expands relationship with Panasonic

To help support resellers and integrators with broadcasting projects, Pro A/V distributor Almo Professional A/V has expanded its relationship with Panasonic to include the full line of Panasonic Solutions Company broadcast products, according to a recent release from Almo.

As part of this expansion, Almo has hired Joseph Brugh as business development manager to provide support and serve as the liaison between Panasonic and Almo Pro A/V partners. Panasonic's broadcast products will be shown in the Almo Pro A/V booth (#4645) next week at InfoComm. The group has also joined Almo's E4 AV networking and training tour coming to Chicago and New York this fall.

"Almo Corporation and Panasonic have had a strong relationship since 1972," Almo Professional A/V Executive Vice President and COO Sam Taylor said in the release. "Our integrators have been broadening their projects from simply providing displays and projectors to creating full indoor and outdoor studios that are used for broadcasting, teleconferencing, education and telemedicine. Adding the Panasonic broadcast products gives our partners access to all the audiovisual products needed to complete a studio system from one distributor ... We continue to strengthen our display business with Panasonic — in addition to the 85-inch and 103-inch plasmas, Almo is now stocking Panasonic's 152-inch display, and we supplied the first unit installed in the United States."

As part of the expanded agreement with Panasonic, Almo Professional A/V now carries the full line of box cameras, switchers and controllers for remote control studios. Panasonic has built the quality and technical capabilities of a "studio camera" into the chassis of a security camera for a high-end standard definition or high definition broadcast-quality camera. These cameras can be positioned in a classroom, auditorium, town hall, college campus or house of worship to create video and audio content for distribution or for containment in a closed environment.
