AEG and Toshiba are expanding their partnership to deploy more digital signage in AEG's entertainment venues across North America and Europe. Toshiba will be upgrading digital signage for the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, The O2 in London, L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles and the new Mercedes Platz, an entertainment district in Berlin, according to a press release.
Toshiba will act as the official provider of digital signage and POS technology for the AEG entertainment facilities. Toshiba plans to renovate the LED screens at L.A. Live, a $5 million job. The company will also roll out close to 315 screens and more than 100 POST systems at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
The company also plans to craft an interactive zone at the Mercedes-Benz Arena. This zone will feature video walls, touch displays and more to engage customers with augmented reality, game scores, video highlights and more.
"Toshiba is a world-class brand and partner, and we are looking forward to expanding our relationship with them by extending our success into the European market," Jon Werbeck, vice president, AEG Global Partnerships, said in the release. "Toshiba's leading edge point-of-sale and digital signage technology enhances our ability to develop creative, interactive experiences that let us tailor a customized fan-first approach for live events."
